Charles Foster - Principal Consultant
Charles is a Software Architect and Lead software developer with over 20 years of experience in the Software Industry.
He starting working for MarkLogic as one of their first UK Consultants in 2009 and eventually went on to provide MarkLogic & XML Consultancy services on an independent basis to clients such as JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, LexisNexis, Royal Society of Chemistry, Oxford University Press and The Stationery Office.
Charles is the author of various XQJ Drivers (XQuery API for Java), including the MarkLogic XQJ API.
He is a well known individual in the XML and MarkLogic technology spaces and is a frequent speaker at software industry events and conferences through-out the world.
Charles founded the XML London Conference in 2013 which is themed around XML and Linked Data technologies.
Charles is a member of the XML Guild and is an Invited Expert in the XSLT working group at W3C.
